So really this boils down to that you think that employers should be able to fire people for holding political opinions contrary to yours.

"I think that guns should be outlawed, therefore I'm firing everybody who owns guns."
"I think that bicycle helmets should be mandatory, therefore I'm firing everybody who rides their bike without a helmet."

      Why not ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Cars because they are deadly. If your parents die in a car accident you shouldn't have to be reminded of cars by your employees, darn it. Fire them for not walking or biking to work.

You idiot, BlackCat likes cars so it doesn't make sense to fire people for owning them

I might be wrong, but isn't it legal to fire people because they are "different" ? Then why not when it's about guns ?

              No

Maybe it is in Denmark, but I doubt it

I wouldn't hire someone who came to an interview with a backpack.

Why do y'all think that employers firing good employees for openly self-destructive reasons is such a large and widespread problem that it's worth throwing on yet another layer of regulation and lawsuit-phobia?

In the 60s it made sense. Racial discrimination in employment was very obviously a huge problem. These issues aren't.

Hilarious. This was on the Daily Show the other day. In America, you can fire someone for loving someone of the same sex, but not for bringing a gun to work. Carrying guns is protected by the Constitution, but same sex relationships are illegal in most states. You don't even have to be in a relationship, just self identified as gay or lesbian to lose jobs is many US states. F*cking amazing! Why do you USers put up with this stupid sh*t?

It's bad form to ask somebody to prove a negative
