    The Dead can vote.

The 2008 election in Minny does show that it still happens
No, no it does not show that it still happens. Not even a little bit. Try again.

    • Aside from filming yourself committing a felony, you will never convince Oerdin that these obvious security issues should be corrected.

      • You're simply wrong. I'd be fine with an ID law provided both the ID and the supporting documents required to get the ID are completely free. If you'd like I can even link to threads on forums where I've said as much.

I don't expect such facts to have any effect on you though, Felch. None of that would change a damn thing about absentee ballots though so it's a mute point wrt the topic of the thread. Also, I'm still waiting for evidence that the dead have voted in the generation or two. That's simply not something which happens very much so it's a red herring to keep whining about a problem which was solved a half century ago. Can you even admit that?

        • A free ID is one thing (and is standard where these laws exist), but the supporting documents is where you're going off the deep end. I was born in Wisconsin, but I vote in Maryland. Is Wisconsin supposed to provide me with a free birth certificate, if Maryland passes an ID law? Should passports be free? I think that you're throwing absurd demands up in an effort to cloud a very basic issue. I don't want to ever go to a polling place and be told that I've already voted when I know that I haven't. As it stands, anybody can claim to be me and steal my vote without showing any ID at all. And you're standing in the way of a common sense reform that would mitigate such fraud.

          • I think the SCotUS will disagree with you. The states with the ID law didn't want to make the ID free but were forced to by the SCotUS due to the constitution outlawing poll taxes. What good is it to have a "free" ID if it costs you up to $150 in documents to get that "free" ID? We shall see when the case hits the SCotUS but given how lopsided the "IDs have to be free" ruling was I expect to the free documents required to get that ID will also win.

I heard someone in the video say something about a "Democratic ballot". Was this a primary election? Oh wait, it says "Primary" right in the title of the video. Primary elections aren't quite the same thing as the actual election for office are they? For one thing they're often run by party officials instead of election officials.

Do they need to do the samething in November in order to prove to you that this is a problem?

Have you ever noticed that a Democrat always wins the Democratic primaries? I knew something had to be up.

The only recent SCOTUS case I could find was Crawford v. Marion County. Stevens, not usually a conservative voice, wrote:

Because Indiana’s cards are free, the inconvenience of going to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, gathering required documents, and posing for a photograph does not qualify as a substantial burden on most voters’ right to vote, or represent a significant increase over the usual burdens of voting.

I am almost certain this is wrong. I know in Virginia they are run by the state, and I'm pretty sure this was actually required by a supreme court ruling.

                          • Does Oerdin have me on ignore or something? I've given evidence that voter fraud is not something from 30-40 years ago. He responds to everyone else but ignores me.

Nevertheless a party primary is just that. It's not the same thing as an election for office.
