OK, it was a TKO, but it was good fun for a good cause. Canadian Liberal MP Justin Trudeau won a 3 round boxing match against Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau for charity Saturday night.
I think this was brilliant. Two political opponents beating each other senseless for charity. Maybe they could settle the Republican presidential race that way?

OK, it was a TKO, but it was good fun for a good cause. Canadian Liberal MP Justin Trudeau won a 3 round boxing match against Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau for charity Saturday night.
Sporting a bit of a shiner after losing the ring rumble to Liberal MP Justin Trudeau the night before, Tory Senator Patrick Brazeau said Sunday he's game for a rematch.
Brazeau, 37, told CTV's Question Period he's prepared to "go at it again next year' with the lanky, 6-foot-2 Trudeau, 40, to whom he lost on a TKO when the fight was stopped in the final of the scheduled three rounds.
The pony-tailed senator told CTV's Kevin Martin he made a "typical rookie boxer mistake coming out "Raging Bull" and that accelerated his heart rate.
But the sold-out slugfest, in which Brazeau was a 3-1 favourite, was a winner for both pugilists as the event served as a fundraiser for another battle -- the one against cancer.
Both men have been touched by the disease; Brazeau losing his mother to lung cancer and Trudeau's father, former prime minister Pierre Trudeau, died from prostate cancer.
The event raised more than $200,000 for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
"Perhaps a Brazeau-Trudeau Two next year would be a good thing, we did raise a lot of money. That was the goal we set out to achieve," Brazeau said.
The final round of the celebrated battle goes Monday when Brazeau's shiny locks will hit the mat.
As a side bet between the two, a "disappointed' Brazeau said he if he lost he'd cut his hair and wear a Liberal jersey for a week.
"That's going to sting even more than losing," he said. "But having said that, a bet is a bet, and I'm a man of my word, and it'll be a long week in terms of some of the joke that I'll have to take, but my skin is quite thick."
