  • McBeer? Why didn't our German posters ever tell us?

I just found out McDonalds in Germany sells the McBeer. I'm sure it's terrible just like everything else at McDonald's but it would at least give me something to order if I ever stopped in especially if it's on the value menu.

Some other interesting country specific stuff from McD's:

Canada - The McLobster Roll. A soft bun filled with lobster claw and tail meat, mixed with pickled gherkin and mayonnaise.

India - The Chicken Maharaja Mac (a big make made with grills chicken and Indian spices instead of beef)

Germany - The McBeer I mentioned earlier but I wanted to add it's made by Kronenberg

France - CroqueMcDo. Two slices of Emmental cheese and a slice of ham sandwiched between two pieces of toasted, sweetened bread. They also recently announced the McBaguette but I'm not sure what's on that.

Japan - Korokke Burger. Fried patty of mashed potato, topped with sweet cabbage, topped with teryaki sauce on a soft bun. Also the McEbi A fried patty of prawns and marie rose sauce with lettuce on a burger bun.

Chile - McPollo. Basically the fried chicken sandwich but with guacamole on it.

Norway - McLaks. Grilled salmon and dill sauce with mixed lettuce on a grained roll.

Costa Rica - Gallo Pinto. A side order of seasoned beans and rice.

Greece - Greek Mac. Big Mac with tzatziki.

Philippines - McSpeghetti. Crappy spaghetti with tomato sauce and cut up hot dog. Yeah PI food sucks.

Malaysia - Bubur Ayam McD. A chicken-based sticky rice porridge.

Morocco - Recete Moutarde. A mustard-doused burger in a mustard peppercorn coating, on ciabatta, with salad.

A bunch of other **** too.

Well McDonalds doesn't sell beer here. And quite frankly, if I was in Germany, McDonalds would be the last place I'd go for a beer consider the vast array of options (and far better food too) available...

I remember them talking about the McRoyal avec fromage but not the McBeer.

People in Germany drink beer the way we drink sodas. I'm sure the beer is on the menu for a reason.

It's pretty normal to have a pint with lunch (even on a working day). I don't know if it's really that bad for your health.

I loved that commercial. The lookalikes were pretty good as well.

Well the Germans do like their beer, but I think it is often appreciated to have a beer with a meal. If you can call McDonalds a "meal". The Germans seem to enjoy the occasional pint, whereas the British just seem to want to get drunk by any means possible, which is very disappointing.
