That won't happen. Romney needs a social conservative just like McCain did so prepare yourself to see someone just as stupid and dishonest as Sarah Palin.

McDonnell and Rubio are social conservatives.

There have been mutterings about McDonnell not being conservative enough for backing down on the vaginal penetration ultrasound. Rubio was their darling but we'll see if that lasts.

I don't know where you heard those mutterings, as I haven't seen anything like that. Sound like you're projecting.

The ultrasounds were not a crucial part of the social conservative agenda. He's passed other legislation that more than satisfies that camp, in particular, restricting abortion clinics.

To tell you the truth I think Rubio is a better candidate for vice president anyway. As much as I like McDonnell, Rubio is a much better public speaker and debater. Which is not to say McDonnell is bad. Rubio can also pull in Florida votes and Hispanic votes.

Christie? Romney wants a Conservative not an aggressive RINO with him.

Then it's Rubio or McDonnell. But most likely Rubio.

Rubio had that little scandal with lying about his past...

Apparently the Miami Herald went to bat for Rubio (though Rubio didn't use it himself - probably because the Herald said Rubio has been "sloppy" with the date his parents left Cuba):

The hometown paper of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio is cleaning up his latest political scandal better than his own PR team.

Though a lot of people, when it came out, thought Rubio was a bit damaged by it.

Apparently his parents left Cuba before Fidel took over, and he said otherwise. Hardly something anybody cares about.

So Rubio's brother-in-law was basically Scarface?

Has anyone ever pointed out how "Santorum" sounds a lot like "Sanctorum," as in "Sanctum Sanctorum," or has all the attention given to the buttfroth aspect of his name prevented that from being an issue? Also, Rubio doesn't look very rubio to me.
