  • Selandia 100 year

Bet that most people thought it was krauts, yanks, froggies or beefeaters that invented the modern ships, but no, it was a danish invention.

    Interesting.

I would have guessed the Poms (English).

You didn't read the whole thing

In 1907 Hagelin and Johnson designed a 4,500-ton tanker, and again Emanuel Nobel rejected the proposal. The inventors sold their blueprints to Merkulyev Brothers of Kolomna who built the world's first true seagoing diesel-powered tanker, Mysl, in 1908.

At least it didn't sink in the harbor ey ?

And I know that incident was Swedish by design but face it, all scandinavioans have the same blood.

Nah we're not that alike. Swedes had a general design flaw in shipbuilding - either they sank in harbor or was sunk by danish ships

I keep seeing this thread's title and thinking it's about some really old booze you own--"The Selandia 100 year is marked by complex, nuanced flavor, with hints of berry, walnut and cheeseburger."

Turns out it's about some boat. Huh.
