I thought Alpert worked at WF. Do they only pay their tellers $7000 a year?

That's ~$580/month. I pay $320/month rent utilities and cable internet included. That leaves me with $260/month to spend on food and all amenities, which is more than enough.
I am pretty content, actually. Only have what makes you reasonably happy. Anything else is excess.

I thought you had a job last year? Or were you still just living off of that injury thing from the Marines?
And I had a job. I worked at Wells Fargo, where I made under $5000 in 4 months (10 bucks an hour). I was terminated because I used casual profanity while pitching the benefits of opening an account with Wells Fargo to an 18 year old girl (she complained about the pay card her employer has her use... her employer was my old employer, Checkers, so I told her I'm not BSing her, I know how it is and showed her my old paycard from Checkers. Had new checking and savings accounts in the bag with online banking, paperless statements, and direct deposit... but they didn't like my 'unprofessionalism'). I was top-10 in the region why they *****ing?
Bad call on my part but I always try to be real with my customers, cater to my audience, and talk casually. And yes, I didn't do the half-truths and outright lies they wanted me to do (mislead about credit protection, open extraneous accounts, mislead old people into signing up for online banking, etc.). But I didn't have to resort to that stuff to get my numbers."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

If all goes well I will either be working there again this summer, or at a subsidiary of Raytheon across the street. *knocks on wood*Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Of course I was going to quit but with the military downsizing, I was not selected for this past January OCS class (only 1 person from the Philly/NJ region was selected). My OSO does not think the summer is realistic even as a reserve contract but he feels confident in my chances in the October class. That would mark exactly 4 years since I first signed up for the Marine Corps and stood on those yellow footprints at Quantico.
It sucks. Have the past 4 years out of college been a waste? Maybe. But I want to do this.

It sucks. I even applied to be crew at McDonalds but they won't talk to me... drug stores like Rite Aid, nope... Staples, no dice.
I'm going to try to get back at Sodexo. They were paying me $13/hr which was well below the prevailing wage for my position but was more than enough for me. I don't know if they would have openings, though."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Glad to hear it's a good company. I have a friend who works there in mentorship (currently a senior at TJHSST) and he can set me up with an interview.
I have a guy who's gonna follow up with me in a week whose company is in San Francisco (job fair was yesterday), but I'm not moving to CA this summer, so I'm probably gonna have to turn him down.It looked like a nice place to work, too.
