  • When did they became so soft on crime in the US?

What's with this Wuterich guy getting a walk?

All I can say this wouldn't have happened if the US military would have been more familiar with the German language. Probably never accepted him in the armed forces at all if they had known...

I don't know but his name makes him sound white and everyone knows they only get really mad in the US when non-white people commit crimes. A white guy does it and they think clearly he's a good guy who made a bad decision while a black guy jay walks and it's time for the electric chair.

Oh, he's one of the local guys accused of war crimes. Wasn't even following the case. Reduction in rank and discharge but no jail time. See! You can get away with murder. Oh, well. "They were only Arabs" and not some good Christian folks who are "real people"*. Welcome to American justice.

*= Real people can qualify for murdering too if they happen to be someone we don't like at the time.

Then again, this does follow the precedent set by My Lai, so I shouldn't be surprised...

He wasn't guilty. People shouldn't be jailed when the evidence doesn't support it.

He pled guilty. Shouldn't he be punished for perjury, if he lied?
