    Did not not introducing it erode the respect? You're not making any point.

    Respect for teachers and education is important but compulsion will not make better students of those who are not academically minded. It will simply waste their time and the taxpayer's money. Such students can succeed in any number of skilled or unskilled work that does not require a high school diploma. This plan simply won't succeed. It will put a lot of people in school but school isn't the best place for every person.
    Please point on the vast numbers of high school drop outs who became successful.
