We have a thread asking if a guy can really be gay without realising it.
What really concerns me is the question: "Can a gay really be a closet heterosexual without realising it"?
Imagine, if you will, the vague repressed yearning of a man living, and enjoying, the gayest of lifestyles and yet feeling some repressed yearnings for the opposite sex. Imagine him sitting in a gay bar bar surrounded by his fellow gays whilst he feels some vague indefinable yearning for the barmaid. Who can he confide in to clarify his feelings? How could he broach such a subject with his fellow homosexuals who might find these urges incomprehensible and yet he feels this genetic urge which is beyond his choice?
I believe this a very important gay rights issue. I strongly believe that gay men should be allowed to emerge from the closet to recognise their heterosexual side. Do you support the right of gay men to engage in heterosexual activity without shame, prejudice or the derision of others?
What are you thoughts?
