Guy, does the level of retardation among parents at least go down as they have more children and gain experience? I mean first time parents are notorious for taking their infant to the emergency room because s/he has a "fever" of one degree above normal and for a load of other stupid **** ("She stubbed her toe while learning how to walk!") but we'd all hope they've calmed the **** down by the time they're on kid #3. Hell, by kid #4 anything short of decapitation probably gets mom & dad saying "walk it off".

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the proceeds of piracy were helping the Somali ecopnomy "pick up". I gather tens of millions of pounds are flowing into Somalia in the form of ransoms. Somalia is very poor so perhaps this is a lifeline in some areas.
