There are other nations standing to profit a great deal from Iran being and feeling isolated and attacked, and probably at least as unhappy about nuclear proliferation in countries around them.

If this guy was a scientist working for the Iranian MIC, and his job is to build bombs, or critical parts of their supply chain, he is no civilian in any sense of the word but the fact that he is not wearing a uniform.

While the Iranian opposition has been a suggested source of some of these bomb threats, I think this hit looks a little too clean and professional to be pulled off by anyone other than a well-funded and trained intelligence organisation. The Israelis, probably. No other state is pursuing a harder line against Iran.

NPR had an interesting article on their website last week about how the Israeli government has publicly admitted it has a problem with Jewish extremists. It's still small and confined mostly to die hard settler groups but these settlers have been doing a number of revenage attacks on not just Palestinian towns (arsone seems to be their most popular tactic) but lately they have even started vandalizing Israeli Army outposts as revenge for demolishing illegal settlements. I have no doubt that most people in Israel are normal people just trying to make an honest living but there is a radicalized section (and we all know they're ultra orthodoxed settlers) which does deserve to be called terrorists.
