Grow some balls and try new beers. It isn't like a beer you don't like will kill you or take all that much of your money.

It's only one example and it fit the topic of the thread.

Beer is for children, anyway. Try drinking some real liquor instead of trying new hipster microbrews.

I think it really depends where you are in the country. On the West Coast a lot of microbrews are very solid. As Oerdin said, SD has some of the best if not THE best in the country. Seattle and Portland also have their share of great microbrews.

My wife got me some homebrew stuff for Christmas/Birthday so I'm gonna be making some goddamn beer soon enough.

BTW the best new beer (well new to me) I've found this month is Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout. It's a take on an Imperial Stout which has been barrel aged in bourbon barrels. I'm not usually in to Imperial Stouts but this one has character without being over powering. It's extremely well done.

I've only found it one (very specialized) store though so I don't think it is officially distributed on the west coast. The store in question specializes just in hard to find specialty beers so they probably have some sort of informal under the table way to get their hands on it. Bastards charged $30 for a four pack.

I'm not going to spend more on a four-pack of bourbon-flavored beer than I would on a bottle of good bourbon.

It doesn't have the flavor of bourbon the the barrel aging does indeed improve a beer and give it a more complex taste. BTW it's hilarious that a dumb ass honkey from the mid-west who likes to pretend to be a dead black rapper is calling anyone names.
