What privacy laws? I don't own the account. Just like my desk drawers at work. If I keep something in them why should I expect that I have a right to privacy from my employer? If I leave something in my friend's car's glove box is he not allowed to look inside?

Anybody who does anything from their work computer/account and who does not assume that an IT/HR/compliance guy is literally reading every single keystroke and forwarding it to his wife, his boss and both his senators is a ****ing moron.

We tend to use IM as well as email. If someone wants to ask you a quick question, its far more efficient than sending a mail.

IM is pure hell. Especially when Indians have found out your adress. So I turn if off as soon as I see it open.

More importantly, anyone who doesn't realize it will be available in discovery...
