I hust finished skimming your prior thread and it seems like the consensus was 90-95% run away. Since you don't seem inclined to run away the next best thing as has been suggested repeatedly is to only involve yourself with EBFetc. WITH your girlfriend present. You may still mess up your relationship by falling for the EBF again anyway but having your girlfriend along highlights to EBF your current relationship and also makes it unlikely you will fall into some weird platonic intimacy which can somehow wreck your existing relationship.

I would tend to stay away. But you probably can't and will try to help her regardless

No no no. I don't know who ____ is. Blue-skinned robot from DS9? What? Odo was kind of robotic, but not blue-skinned. And Data was a robot, and had funny colored skin, but is from TNG. I meant seriously, I have no idea who she is talking about. This is quite a mystery!

As I've said on more than one occasion, I have a very boring job. Additionally, what I say on Apolyton does not necessarily reflect what I do in real life.

Yes yes, I understand, poly is different. But from I'm sitting you're doing your girlfriend a big disservice pandering to the wacko needs of the wacko. If she was still good looking and satisfying other needs then that would be something different. (a girlfriend is not a wife)

Did you not get the part where I said I wasn't serious about that? I thought it was funny that she sent me another text, that it was such a non-sequitur, and that her question made so little sense to me. So I decided to make light of it on Apolyton. I don't care what the answer to her question is, and I haven't exactly tried very hard to figure it out. Mostly I'm just reading A Storm of Swords right now.

Claiming not serious usually means serious but I'll take the hint and now assume you meant not serious. At my age, sometimes I have to be hit with a hammer. But i'm still getting an underlying sense of fixation.

Heh. Fixating on women is what I do. I've been doing it since the first grade. But I'd like to think I've curbed my tendencies since then. So if all my fixation amounts to now is beating a dead horse on an online message board, then I think I'm doing okay.

This was exactly my approach to the ex. I wouldn't contact her, she'd contact me, I didn't want to be a dick so I'd respond with something brief and cordial. But she kept contacting me, and it made me feel crappy each time. Finally I decided it wasn't worth continually hurting my own feelings to spare hers and wrote her a long message telling her to leave me alone. It wasn't easy, but I'm glad I did it.

You should do the same, even if it is just a one sentence text. You should put yourself first.
