  • Christians ban interstate marriage

    waht
they can't go across state lines?
    or
they can't live in separate states?
    or
the marriage is only valid in the state you got married in and you need to get married in every state
To us, it is the BEAST.

You cannot get married on an interstate highway. It's too dangerous.

I wouldn't want to marry someone made of plasma or Bose-Einstein condensates anyways.

You can only consummate the marriage on an interstate highway

Given the number and type of other relationships (some of them purely temporary) that get both declared and consummated on the highway, it would be a gross injustice if you couldn't.

              [singing]Life is a highway
I want to ride it all night long
              If you're going my way
I want to drive it all night long...[/singing]

Interstate marriage? Damn. I guess that ends any hope of Iowa and Massachusetts getting it on.

Let's be optimistic--there may yet be hope for intestate marriage.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

Untold millions of people have died unwed and intestate. Who are you to deprive them of their right to marriage?

With Iowa and Massachusetts, it could be a gay interstate marriage.
