    Drinking in public

    Here it's quite natural to sit on a bench or go to a park and drink a beer or two. If a police officer comes by he'll probably get a salute with the bottle and he would probably answer with a slight nod or a comment if he know the person.

    What are the customs in your country ?
    With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

      OFITG, you have one of those triple colored flags I can't distingush from others - Is it Bosnia ? It's kinda important figuring out what to do where

        I believe in the US the custom is that they greet you with a great big hug and a night stick.

          Some areas are designated "controlled drinking areas" where the police can ask you to stop drinking or move you on. Else it's fine.

            The US is a country so dominated by radical Protestants that it outlawed alcohol; it's still illegal in some counties. Other than a few cities it's illegal to consume alcohol in public under most conditions. It's completely retarded but that's the way it is.

              Why didn't the constitution have a "right to drink alcohol in public" clause.

                America didn't start hating on alcohol until the 19th century. Back when the Founders drafted the Constitution, the right to drink alcohol was as self-evident as the right to own slaves.
