I "stopped" caring about politics some years ago, but every now and then, I realize the severity of the situation, when all sides are staunchly against common sense.
I don't believe this to be incidental, or a case of politicians being stupid and/or incompetent.
You shouldn't either.
God, business is so much better, the greed and the interest are so much more natural. There is no hypocrisy.

So Asher's position is let them starve instead of let them eat cake?
Let's face reality here most poor people live in poor school districts so the least likely level of government to actually have money to pay for lunches is the local school board in a poor district. As MikeH said at least at the Federal level you can get massive bulk buying power to drive down costs.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Funding doesn't have to be local. Boards should get a budget of X per student.
Incidentally, this is how Canada works."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
