1. Why is there still war in Afghanistan? If I was in charge we'd defeat the Taliban in no time by doing unrestricted submarine warfare against them. You know, sink all their convoys, and they will have no stuff left to fight on.
2. Torture works. Now let's be consequent and bring it back on full scale. Besides, waterboarding is not really torture, so why not have the good old rule back that any trial is declared unlawful when no tor....I mean tough methods were used during the investigations/interrogations. Those methods could also be used in context of public hearings or any other occasions where people are being questioned (for example as a consequence for not answering polls done via phone).
3. The problem with sharia law - as I see it - is mainly that you can't rightfully call people "wankers" anymore when they have their hands cut off.
