I'm not necessarily talking about France. There is the idea, based on our history, that the US aligns itself with dictators in North Africa & Middle East at the expense of the people.

Does the National Review have non-Jewish writers on the Middle East? Zevico always posts pieces by Barry Rubin, John Rosenthal, Martin Kramer, and other Jewish writers. Not saying the ethnicity of the author is necessarily relevant but what gives with the Jewish representation on supposed analysis of Islamic countries?
Okay, I just checked. Zevico posted an article from Khaled Abu Toameh one time, but he's apparently the Palestinian Uncle Tom."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
"I have nothing against Wilson, but he's nowhere near the same calibre of QB as Flutie. Flutie threw for 5k+ yards in the CFL." -Ben Kenobi

Zev, you are going about this the wrong way. The real question about the Libyan adventure IMO is why should a country (in this case the US) engage in armed conflict when it openly acknowledges no compelling interest is at risk? Who really cared what type of government Libya had?I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

He said he LIKES slants...which, come to think of it, are an important part of "yellow journalism." I wonder if that's just a coincidence? I'll assume not, since it's more interesting that way.

Thankfully I can take your word for it, since you people are all alike

We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier
