Its cold here in Calgary and my summertime tan is disappearing. My robust reds and browns arising from a season seadooing on the lake is being replaced by lighter and lighter shades and is unlikley to get corrected until I start skiing in a month .

Getting faded means getting drunk/high. Not to be confused with back in the day slang where getting faded meant getting played/beat/defeated. Though, getting drunk/high is self-inflicted fading, I guess.

Calgary gets ridiculous amounts of sunshine. The most in Canada.

All of this information is fairly meaningless and pointless, but I don't like passing up opportunities to correct Alby:

1. My father's family (the jewish one) hails from Ukraine and Hungary, but only several generation back.
2. My ethnicity is mainly Irish.

Where the **** did you get the idea that I'm Polish? I don't remember ever saying anything about my ethnicity beyond "white" and "dad is Jewish".
