I like Medex. He's a decent substitute for Ben and apparently more sane if the truth be told.

Well the bar was set quite low.

I watch fox news every now and then. I think everyone should. Anyone that relies on a single source for news is more likely to acquire a similar bias as the source. By watching many you get a better all around picture. And fox news can be really entertaining.

            I like the blondes

I read their website every once in a while and I've yet to run across anything that's substantively different in its facts than other news sites.

That's because you don't know anything.

It's not valuable if a source is deliberately misleading and wrong.

A lot of the facts are the same. They just like to ignore a lot of them and misrepresent the ones they do mention.

And if you have half a brain you can recognize when they're misleading.
And with any source, verification is always necessary.
It's always valuable to know what the other sides believe (even if they're wrong)

A lot of the difference is simply in the way they prioritize information, not the actual information itself. The Guardian will post a story about some random guy getting executed in Texas, while Fox News will report on some Obama mini-scandal. Both articles are factual, but presenting them at all demonstrates a political bent.

I agree with reading multiple sources. Personally, I read Wall Street Journal, Washinton Post, occasionally Fox News and a handful of other sites if an article looks interesting. I used to read the Guardian and the Telegraph a bit to get some international perspective but the Guardian just pissed me off too much.

When he says multiple sources, I think he means multiple sources of different bents. Two of your three publications are Murdoch publications, and the other is the WaPo...

Anything that doesn't share his bias would just piss him off too much.

No, you can't. Most Americans don't have the time nor inclination to verify sources. A lot of them are like HC. The only verification they want is what they already believe in. Fox news just feeds ignorance.

Just so you realize that some of those that you're talking about are on the other side of the political spectrum and lap up the same from liberal biased sources.
But I will concede that more of them seem to be on the right these days. *hangs head in shame*

Washington post doesn't share my bias...and frequently pisses me off. The Guardian is just garbage. I can read the New York Times or the Washington Post or the LA Times, but not the Guardian.

Note that the premise of this thread is ignoring a news outlet because it doesn't share your biases.

Something wrong with the Washington Post?

Oh, are you going to pretend it's a conservative newspaper again?
