Joe Frazier died of cancer at 67.

Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

RIP, Smokin' Joe. I remember the epic battles with Ali. And this commercial:

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. - Ben Franklin
Iain Banks missed deadline due to Civ | The eyes are the groin of the head. - Dwight Schrute.

He was very good at promoting himself as a business at a time before that was common. He literally started out dirt poor and found a way to make himself both rich and famous via hard work and that's something to admire.

In the 70's he was rolling in the money. I'd say he did indeed make himself rich. Of course, how he did or did not manage that money after his career ended was another story.

He's the best thing to come out of Philadelphia in the last 68 years.
