I was going to get extremely angry at you for saying this, but then I remembered you're always wrong. This simply proves Five Guy's awesomeness.

Hebrew National certainly has the best quality of any mass produced super market brand of hotdogs. Sadly, since they're kosher though they only do beef or turkey dogs (I like pork hot dogs) but they do them very well. Waldo's does a great smoked natural casing hot dog which uses 40% beef, 40% pork, 10% turkey (the turkey is what makes the dog plump up when you cook them), and 10% lamb which adds an interesting flavor. It actually all goes together well in a hot dog.

I am almost always right especially about Five Guys being bad. Worst burger place ever. Even McDonald's manages to give you a burger who's patty isn't dried out & over cooked like a hockey puck. Worse for $10 it should be a crime for them to serve such a terrible burger. I will never go back to Five Guys because the burger has been consistently bad on the three occasions I've been to their restaurant.

Here's a cradle broiler that can do 48 hot dogs at a time. With each hot dog being ~ 3 inches that is 144 inches!

Any joint in Chicago that sells authentic Chicago style hot dogs. And yep Ketchup is a no no.

Ive eaten in this stand many a times. Not only do they have good dogs but there fries are fabulous.

Seriously this is one great hot dog stand. River Grove is in the near west suburbs, and this stand is just north of Grand Ave. As a fun aside, I worked on the renovation of the bridge near here that goes over the Des Plaines River when I was a coop in college many years ago. Thats on 1st Avenue, but River Road branches off of 1st near this stand.

Then of course there is Vollwerth's in God's Country, natural casing weiners for me:

They were a staple for me in college and whenever I take my kids for a trip to god's country.
