TJ Max had some nice ones for cheap.

    I haven't owned a real suit since I was a teenager.

Maybe the church suite I had at 8 wasn't real?

i would recommend going to a charity shop and finding one you like. it probably won't be a perfect fit, but you can take it to a local tailor and have the adjustments made.

i used to do this. it's great because you help out a charity, a local business and you get a better suit for less money than you would buying new.

It's funny that you mention them because they just closed their downtown Seattle location.

If you want true bespoke, you need to find a tailor. If you just want a good looking off-the-rack suit that you can have altered, try Barney's or Nordstrom.

Are you Vancouver based? If so, Harry Rosen Menswear, 701 West Georgia Street - not cheap crap. You might have to double your investment.

In the US buy off the rack and have it altered to fit. If in Asia, Eastern Europe, or the middle east hire a local tailor to get the bespoke suit but be EXTREMELY careful about the material as they'll often try to do a switch-a-roo (charge you for the expensive material but use the cheap stuff). Also don't buy anything with sealed seams as that's a sure fire sign of a cheap ass suit; look for the hand stitching. BTW if you're doing bespoke then always order three pieces even if you never intend to wear the vest just because you never know and it costs almost nothing extra.

                                Sounds good.

600 - 1k sounds a lot , though I've never bought bespoke. How would that amount of money rank in the US suit market?
