  • I'm drinking Chardonnay

And there's no black fly in it. Instead it's cheap stuff from Chile and has a strong bytaste of sulfur.

    Now ain't THAT ironic?!

Who do you think you are, Oerdin!?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

first, south american wines are awful... they taste like dirt... too earthy
        well, the reds anyways
i don't suspect the whites are any better

        second

        hmmm

        i don't have a second

i'm not a wine elitist in the sense that i think you need to spend lots of money on wine. it's just that some continents should be avoided

You're obviously going for the way too cheap ones.

Concha Y Toro makes some great, inexpensive cabs and merlots.

Over here you can get Spanish Gran Reservas from 2002 or 2004 for 3 euros a bottle. To this I say: salud!

I didn't know they produce any meaningful Cabernet Sauvignon in Spain. Wine from there is mostly Tempranillo.

Casillero del Diablo is a Concha y Toro brand; it hails from Chile.

Some south american wines are actually really good, the overall issue is that quality ranges so wildly.

dammit... it's not quite the same as saying it out loud and remembering it

I like chiantis. But I prefer reds in general. Any more recommendations? I'll make a list and keep an eye out. You wouldn't know any that I can order online would you?

My sister likes whites... any you could recommend?

I just visited the site you posted. That label looks familiar. I think I've had it. I can't remember if I liked it. I think the Cab Sav was good.
