Just saw 50/50 tonight. It's a spectacular movie. For those who aren't aware, it's a comedy about a guy who has spinal cancer. Which sounds kind of like a comedy about Khmer Rouge or the Rwandan Genocide. But it's actually quite funny, and also rather touching. And Anna Kendrick is really hot.

Did anyone else watch it, and what do you think? Also, spoilers after this post so if you plan to see it read no further.

A friend of mine recently won $5,000 in a 50/50 pool at a hockey game.

I do not understand why people see movies in movie theatres.

So people go to movie theatres because they are university auditoriums?

The screen is really big and it's kind of but not really loud and you get to buy overpriced disgusting popcorn and some soda. Movie theatres

Well that's why I went. I won't try to understand the decisions of other people. What do you think I am a socialist?

Is it as big as sitting 6 feet away from an 80" LED TV?

I don't own an 80" tv, my tv is only 23" because it fits in a dorm room

In San Diego, everyone has 48" TVs.

I don't know the dimensions of a movie theater screen.

Dimensions don't matter, what matters is how much it occupies your field of vision while remaining comfortable.

How am I supposed to know how much of my field of vision it will occupy without the dimensions?
