Related to the traitor thing: **** Rick Perry. I now know who I'm voting for in the primary with certainty.
Do you honestly think anyone in that field would make a good President?
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "
An actuary in training is not an expert. It's someone who regurgitates trendy economic theories of the day. He's not even an actual economist. His field is even implicitly biased towards several theories of economics.
Uh, you really have no idea what you are talking about. The majority of actuaries are opposed to most of the economics I subscribe to...

Better than Obama, who is too stupid to realize that he is digging his own grave?
Yeah. Rick Perry appears to understand monetary policy perfectly. He knows:
1) that the fed is free to increase inflation, even when interest rates are at 0
2) that this will have real effects
3) that the real effects will be to increase employment and real output
The only difference between him and me is that I want to improve output and employment ASAP, while he wants to suppress them until he wins the presidency.

I did the same calculation, and realized that the sort of person who is willing to advocate mass unemployment to get himself elected is also willing to invade countries to get himself re-elected.
He's not going to invade any more countries. Bush jr already took care of enough of them for him. He's not insane enough to invade Iran or NK, and if he invades Syria, Algeria, Yemen or one of the gulf states I may actually cheer him on.
Obama has the misfortune of being the first president in living memory to understand microeconomics in a world where an understanding of macroeconomics is the fundamental prerequisite for the job.
Back on-topic, does nobody want to defend the assertion that inflation expectations and commodity and asset prices are not indicators of monetary policy?
