    Do you have one?

For any of the above or anything else.

I have or have had many trowels. As a child I had a whole set for forming volcanoes in mashed potatoes for the storage of molten gravy. One of the great disappointments in my life was that my mashed potato trowels were metric, not standard. This lead to a great many faux pas on my part growing up in the US. Ideally I would have one standard set for use in public, such as during lunch break at school, and another metric set for use at home or in the laboratory. Either that or have emigrated to a metric country.

I will do everything in my power to make sure that my children (if/when they do exist) do not suffer a similar fate.

Garden trowels and plaster trowels are very different things indeed.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
