    The Continental Divide is Not Just a Mountain Range

    I'm trying to imagine a similar photo array and comments in a US newspaper. If one exists, please share.

    I also just had to share for the sake of Duceppe's photo and Jack's quote.

      There is a huge difference between how it is seen in OR, MD, and Sweden.

      In Sweden I would say it is a rare/hard/dangerous drug.

                        Perhaps, perhaps not.

                        I can say that pot would be fully legal in Canada right now were it not for political pressure from Washington. The Liberals were going to fully decriminalise it (possession, anyway) but were told the border would get a lot tighter. The border (and how the US Feds can make it harder to do business) has a major impact on a lot of our decisions.

                        We have to live with medical use and the cops toss small bags in the trash (uh-huh) after letting you go.

                          California was the first state to allow medical use. In 2008 we also came very close to legalizing it entirely & taxing it. A few more percentage points and it would have passed.
