I'd like to see this film. Nothing has depressed me more in the entire political experience of my life than the one-eyed, self-serving Western narrative of the break-up of Yugoslavia, and the heaping of all blame onto one side for all the conflict that ensued.

The Kosovo war in particular was a propaganda-fuelled scandal that not only supported terrorism and the destruction of national sovereignty but paved the way for subsequent interventions and the notion of humanitarian war that led to such disastrous consequences in Iraq and beyond.

This is typical left-wing West-self-hatred, similar to, ¨boohoo we were so evil during the colonial era¨. There might be a partial truth to it (nothing happens in isolation and cause and effect can be a networked product of various (opposing) interests coming together), but this it too polarized.

It's right wing nationalist historical revisionism. It's not that the Serbs tried to seize total power in the Former Yugoslavia so that Serbia's representation would be vastly increased while everyone else's representation would be vastly decreased (so that Milo could be sure he'd win every vote!), it's not because nationalist partisans like Milo won election by specifically and overtly stolking ethnic & religious hatred & urging people to commit violence based on nation or religious affiliation, and it sure couldn't have been because Milo ordered the armed invasion of other member states. Nope, it wasn't any of those things. It's because of the evil Americans because... Well, some how they're responsible for the Serbian people voting those dirt bags into office because to a right wing Serbian nationalist it most certainly couldn't be because of actions Serbs took. It simply must be a secret vast conspiracy by foreigners.

These dirt bags still can't take responsibility for their own actions much less their own crimes.

As a American it makes me feel shame as to what the west has done to Yugoslavia.
