Maybe he wanted a campaign fundraiser for his birthday. How could you be so inconsiderate?

WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama today signed into law a bill that raises the nation's borrowing limit and avoids a possible debt default after it was passed by the Senate to avert a major economic crisis at the last moment.
This gave the US Treasury Department an immediate authority to borrow USD 400 billion. The government had hit its debt limit of USD 14.3 trillion on May 16 and has since been operating through spending and accounting adjustments.
Yeah, it just appeared like magic. No one can explain it!

We give the dude a freaking palace. What's wrong with giving him a plane? It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

At first I thought it was good for him because he said that now that the debt limit issues was resolved (yeah right) he could come home to celebrate with family and friends. Then I heard what actually happened.
He touched down in Chicago at O'hare around 6 in the evening and headed back around 4 hours later. I wonder how much tax payer money was blown for a 4 hours stay in Chicago. Not to mention all the traffic jams from road closures for his ground transportation. But I was willing to cut him some slack since it was his 50th and he had been quite busy. What did he do with those 4 hours you might ask to justify all that tap payer money? He had a fund raiser/birthday party at the Aragon ballroom charging supporters up to almost 40K to attend. Our tax dollars at work. The cost of that trip should have been paid for by his re-election campaign funds.
If this was a one time thing it wouldn't bother me that much but we all know how many times this type of thing will be repeated over the next 15 months. To us, it is the BEAST.

Yes, raise the taxes on corporate jets while I fly around for free on AF1.
I'm not a fan of Obama but I don't hate him. I'm just against any public official taking advantage of taxpayers for personal gain. Yes the pres deserves some perks. Anything business related is Fine. If it doens't cost the taxpayers, fine. Like getting BJs from fat interns, that's OK to. At least until they squeeeeeel on you. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
