hope you don't have a problem flying. Ear infections can be painful coming down from 30,000 feet.

Not as long as I can equalize. As far as I can tell, it shouldn't be a problem, since only outer ear affected. If I get in water and can't do it then I will surface and scrub dive.

Don't use painkillers (for your ear) before the beginning of the dive. If the swelling returns under water you could blow your eardrum out on the ascent. I have seen it happen once. Quite spectacular but it seemed painful.

Swelling v mild right now. Worst part so far is nausea from antibiotics.

Swelling and pain much worse. Not sure I can even fly now, never mind dive. I have never been this depressed about missing a trip in my life.
