btw - Australia has tropical bits - why don't you grow bananas?

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

My math was slightly wrong. The average Joe earns a few NOK more than 200 NOK per hour, but I rounded down. 200 NOK is ca 26 euro. So somewhere above that. So that means ~3 minutes work. And since the real number is a little more than 200, I should have said less than three minutes.

4500 eur is an average monthly wage? Not bad. Is it after or before taxes?

4700 actually. The numbers are taken from the national statistics bureau and is for 2010. It doesn't say explicitly that is it before taxes, but the normal way of counting it is before, so I guess that's it.

Also: The 10% with highest wage had 9200 on average, the 10% with lowest wage had 2600 on average.

Do you need business analysts in Norway? Or do you take only refugees?

Hmmm, I did 200/60 minutes = 3.33 NOK per minute. 10 NOK for a kg, give or take, gives 3 minutes? Currency.

We take a lot more than refugees, a lot of Polish and Swedish workers the last few years for example.

The BBC has a video on the sky high banana prices in Australia. Apparently storms wiped out most of the domestic plantations and Australia has laws blocking the import of bananas out of fears of them bringing in agricultural pests so a big drop in domestic supplies while no imports being allowed equals sky high banana prices.

Romney is yet another in a string of weak pub candidates (assuming he actually wins in Iowa), but I Oerdin's biggest problem is going to be voter turnout. I would not be surprised to see 9-11 cost him states like NC, VA, Kenya.
