"Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson
“In a democracy, I realize you don’t need to talk to the top leader to know how the country feels. When I go to a dictatorship, I only have to talk to one person and that’s the dictator, because he speaks for all the people.” - Jimmy Carter

Where does it say he can't be bothered to serve another term? He said he wanted to focus his efforts. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Speculation - A conclusion, theory, opinion based upon conjecture
Baseless Speculation - See above without basis for conjecture.
Your evidence of his motive being "too tired" to run for congress is ______ as opposed to his stated rationale."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

So let me see if I got this right.
Medical and psychiatric genius, Gribbler, has determined without physical or psychological screening of Mr. Paul, that he is showing advanced mental , emotional, and physical fatigue and thus this is the rationale for his desire to not run for congress contra to his assertion that he wishes to concentrate on his candidacy as he feels that makes him a more 'serious' candidate.
I see now its not baseless, we have your credentialed opinion to fall back upon."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

So let's see... despite Ron Paul not facing a close congressional election in years, and despite his presidential runs being miserable failures, it makes sense for him to give up on running for congress in order to focus on running for president and we should take the excuse he gave seriously. Yeah, that's some really logical thinking on your part

I didn't realize he was THAT old. I kept thinking he was about 10 years younger. Maybe it would be a good idea to be his VP running mate. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

You truly are a ****. If you think Paul isn't truly comitted to the endeavor of running for president. Every candidate that goes into the race assumes they have legitimate shot at the presidency however deulded that prospect actually may be. Giving a built in excuse of being too old and tired to run for a lesser office is exactly the reason why one is skeptical of such a reason. All the more reason to believe the actual answer he gave considering he prides himself on principled stands.
No what you are mad at is that you attempted an inferred snipe at Paul's age and his passion due to his presumed waning energy levels, all without merit or evidence. When called on it you simply state as a matter of course that he is old or make reference to the fact that everyone else (besides himself) think him a joke candidate, thus he can't be serious in his actual response.Last edited by Ogie Oglethorpe; July 13, 2011, 11:33."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson
