    Don't forget affirmative action.
    As Antonin Scalia put it:
"Those who believe that racial preferences can help to 'even the score' display, and reinforce, a manner of thinking about race that was the source of the injustice and that will, if it endures within our society, be the source of more injustice still."

    And elsewhere--
"Individuals who have been wronged by unlawful racial discrimination should be made whole...[But] [t]o pursue the concept of racial entitlement - even for the most admirable and benign of purposes - is to reinforce and preserve for future mischief the way of thinking that produced race slavery, race privilege and race hatred. In the eyes of government, we are just one race here. It is American."

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

      Affirmative action isn't racist.

Deviously clever GOP finds way to snatch defeat from victory and in doing so are able to mask their true racist intent. Going into election Huey up by 8. Election results Huey down by 10.

A clever ploy to mask their true racists beliefs. Throwing the election to show they couldn't be that stupid to fund a clearly racist ad.

Wait, who's saying they lost the election on purpose in order to show they aren't racist? I'm not actually sure what any of this means.

Yes, I've already said I don't know what you're talking about. Saying 'whoosh' is kind of redundant.

                  Parsing it slowly,

Given the opening post postulated that the GOP was approving of and funding a racist ad. Given they were already up in the election. Given that no one could be so cirminally stupid to think such an ad wouldn't cause major blowback. Given they lost the election handily most likely in large part due to said ad.

We must simply conclude that if Oerdin (who btw is always wrong) were suddenly right the underlying motive must be something so devious that only the likes of genius Rove could engineer it. Hence an elaborate ruse to throw an election for some more sinister rationale. Obviously this is a stupid assertion and thus highlights once again how idiotic the positions Oerdin takes.

Err or maybe they thought it would help them? Which is why I think southern California must be racist.

Given your propensity for actually comprehending wirtten passages a typo here or there seems rather immaterial.

How did you infer that? I merely question your ability to comprehend written text. The two do not necessarily follow.

(Likely in this case, but not necessarily.)

There is a very obvious connection between being able to comprehend written text and intelligence. Duh.
