The average user of krokodil, a dirty cousin of morphine that is spreading like a virus among Russian youth, does not live longer than two or three years, and the few who manage to quit usually come away disfigured.
Is this a Russian thing or a northern thing?
If there were no strict controls on alcohol, would Swedes and Finns be dying from it in the thousands?
Amazing how the fall of communism has left Russians... defenseless from the various temptations of
the world.
Here's a conjecture: Russians aren't going to die out, but the population is going to continue falling until
deeply religious and conservative people become the majority.
