Tonight we had some serious raining with up to 150 mm in some areas and 2000 lightnings here in copenhagen.

Is there a channeled underground river there?

Well, there are a minor creek that is going underground, but I don't think it's in the area where the pic is from. The problem is that copenhagen is a very flat area, rain in this amount is rare and the sewage system therefore aren't dimensioned to handle it.

These conditions happens something like every second year and lasts for a couple of hours, so noone want to invest a couple of billions in sewage that can handle it.
