Geesh - I think I really pushed one of my friend's buttons on Facebook today. In a thread on one of our mutual's friends Facebook page, the friend started the thread with a joke about Tea Baggers.
Then, this friend of mine who is against political correctness in general, and likes to speak his mind even if it's offensive to other people, had the audacity to express offense at the term, Tea Baggers.
The way I wrote my response, it indicated that I think it's hypocritical for politically incorrect people to express offense only at some slurs, but not other slurs. That's when he popped a vein in his neck I guess, going on a long tangent in Facebook about how this is simply him being against mean spirited people, and saying how much turned off he was by my post.
But isn't being politically incorrect based on the willingness to be mean spirited?
