There were a lot of good bands in the 80s. None of those were in that category.

Lacks an option. Marriage is (or should be) between man and woman in love, but not necessarily for raising children. Civil union or whatever it's named in English is for same sex couples, as I think there should be an distinction.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10

Why? Keep in mind you do not live in a theocracy, so "religion" is not valid."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

Why? What business is it of anyone else to tell them what it is called? Does the church have a trademark on the word marriage or something? Personally I think marriage is a stupid concept and I just don't understand its relevance...especially in this day and age.Originally posted by Nikolai View PostLacks an option. Not when it implies it is not as important or significant...which is the whole intention behind this nomenclature.Originally posted by Hauldren Collider View PostDifferent names for different things.Speaking of Erith:

Because marriage has always been between a man and a woman and our whole marriage system is built around that. Because there is a lot of issues with law, rights and expectations between the two. Because it's more orderly to have a distinction. Religion in itself is not the issue here, I'm not against gay rights per se, even though I believe it to be against God's will. So that has very little to do with it. Give gays rights, but don't melt the two institutions into one.Originally posted by Asher View PostWhy? Why is it more orderly to have the distinction? What exactly are the concrete benefits?Originally posted by Nikolai View PostBecause marriage has always been between a man and a woman and our whole marriage system is built around that.
