I think you might be stupid. You've already forgotten that the subject was prop 8 (legislation aimed at forcing others to comply with your 'message')Originally posted by Hauldren Collider View PostThere is nothing wrong with them spreading their message, just like there is nothing wrong with anyone spreading their message.

And even if the majority have such a right, they are still cramming religion down other people's throats.
You need to reexamine the assumptions that you are relying on to arrive at this stupid point, most obviously the assumption that everyone who voted for Prop 8 did so for religious reasons.

The government has protections against the tyranny of the majority. The lack of a right to marry under circumstances considered laughable only a few decades ago hardly constitutes "tyranny".Originally posted by gribbler View PostIf the holocaust had been enacted by a referendum it would have been okay? All aspects of the constitution can be adjusted by more or less a supermajority so I think your argument is pretty weak. If an anti-gay marriage amendment passed it would be "tyranny of the majority".Originally posted by Hauldren Collider View PostThe government has protections against the tyranny of the majority. I am so sorry that I don't feel like dealing with bull**** that people come up with to pretend they aren't cramming religion down other people's throats.Originally posted by Tupac Shakur View PostYou're just wasting my time now. Come back when you're ready to think seriously about this issue.
