I think you might be stupid. You've already forgotten that the subject was prop 8 (legislation aimed at forcing others to comply with your 'message')

Prop 8 restored the status quo. It was the opponents of Prop 8 (and the courts that made Prop 8 necessary) that were trying to force others to comply with their message.

You need to reexamine the assumptions that you are relying on to arrive at this stupid point, most obviously the assumption that everyone who voted for Prop 8 did so for religious reasons.

The government has protections against the tyranny of the majority. The lack of a right to marry under circumstances considered laughable only a few decades ago hardly constitutes "tyranny".

All aspects of the constitution can be adjusted by more or less a supermajority so I think your argument is pretty weak. If an anti-gay marriage amendment passed it would be "tyranny of the majority".
