Interesting book on evolution of life - Life Ascending: The Ten Great Inventions of Evolution by Nick Lane.
In one of the chapters, Lane discusses the theory on how different organelles of cells such as mitochondria, originated as autonomous microbes before becoming engulfed by cells, becoming the organelles that exist today.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
