    If I had to speculate wildly, I'd guess that Obama's relative newness to the political scene meant he had a shortage of trusted political allies from which to appoint administration posts. As a consequence he dipped into his pool of donors for administrative posts more than a veteran politician might have.

      By that measure, voting for a political outsider is the surest means to allow entrenched interests to gain the largest sway.

        Anyone else find it odd that gribbler takes Obama screwing up as a defense of Obama versus opponents because the screw-up was reported in the media?
