  • Bummer. WW2 bomber crash lands near Chicago.

There are so few of these historical WW2 planes left it is sad to see one destroyed. A WW2 B-17 Flying Fortress which had been fully restored and often flew at air shows (even offering tickets to passengers who wanted to experience flight as WW2 flight crews experienced it) had an on board fire and was forced to crash land in a corn field outside of Chicago.

An American B-17 bomber used for exhibition flights has caught fire and crash-landed in a field outside Chicago.

Sucks that you have to rely on a British news site to report a domestic story.

But yes, that is sad news.
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

Hmm, we had it on the local news. But I'm sure that's just because I live near Chicago.
It was a shame watching the footage of it burning away in the field.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
