What do you think about this tv channel? I first noticed it some time ago when people would post links to youtube, but I didn't pay attention. Then I noticed a pattern... RT seems to cover the West with a bit of an attitude, let's say. They give plenty airtime to critics of western governments and institutions. Sometimes they run stories which expose hypocritism or double standards. For example if there's a rally in Washington DC and there is a minor scuffle with the police on the fringes, you can expect RT to report about police brutality and typical opposition suppression by the US government.

Is this station a special purpose vehicle of the Russian government, or what? I'm genuinely curios.

It's Muscovite propaganda. It is entertaining though.
    John Brown did nothing wrong.

Interestingly, the news anchors and reporters seem to be native US and British.

RT is funded by the Kremlin to be an English language news group which helps spread the Russian point of view. That's not that bad since BBC, NPR, PBS, Voice of America, Alhurra, and dozens of other western news groups are owned by western governments so it's not like RT is the only such group out there.

            H. Clinton sais the US is losing the info war, with one of the winners being RT. Probably the us gov had allowed an info gap.

I think they changed their name to RT only. Like how BP is formerly British Petroleum but not anymore.

As usually seen linked to by your local political forum's lunatic fringe. I don't usually pay attention to them.

Where is RT aired? When I went to a meeting in Philly last year RT was one of the channels offered on the hotel's cable, but I've never seen RT anywhere else other than the odd YouTube video.
