  • What is Dale up to these days?

Teenagers regularly feel embarrassed by their parents - and it's easy to see why in Dale Price's case.

On the first day of the school year he waved off son Rain,15, wearing an American Football helmet.

The next day Elvis smiled from the doorstep as Rain boarded the bus and for 170 days Dale dressed-up in different outfits as the mortified lad faced his mates.

The Little Mermaid, a clown, a bride and even a man sitting on the loo reading the paper saw him off.

Why did this guy do it? I might read and find out if there was a working link, but since not...

He did it to embarrass his son on his first day of HS (at least at the beginning). The kid's name is Rain, so he was probably used to his dad being a bit bizarre.

This man is my new hero.

That's pretty cool. Weird, but pretty cool.

Yeah, I asked him what he was doing when this came up a couple of weeks ago.

Markos is busy rioting over austerity measures.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Really? I thought after selling Apolyton he was wealthy enough to retire in comfort.
