I believe the Sumerians were talking about people in general with the "black heads" reference and it was hair color. But they do have some very interesting myths, especially if you're into the Abrahamic period and older. They have one myth about the creation of people that jives with evolution and "creation" in Genesis - the "gods" (not their term) rebelled over labor conditions and the solution was mixing their "blood" with a creature roaming the southern lands to create a primitive worker. At first hybrids were created but eventually the ability to procreate was bestowed upon man. MtDNA Eve is around 200,000 years ago, the invention of clothing ~170,000. And the Lord God clothed Adam and Eve...

I did some digging and your story about hybrids is bull**** made up by a Zecharia Sitchin, one of those 'Chariots of the Gods' types."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

maybe the story of the Annunaki changing people, was simply their observation of the change in melanin as they migrated into cooler and darker climates, the term Sumerian meaning black-headed being that they were from Africa, or knew that a long time ago their people were black, before their melanin levels changed due to the migration of people into cooler climates."Life is the only RPG you'll ever play, The religious want to be one with the moderator, the scientists want to hack the game, and the gamers want to do both."

The story as presented is bull****, though. It's supposedly from the Atrahasis but I can find no non-bat**** insane sources for the Igigi being ape-men."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

By the way, wasn't the Atrahasis also the source of Noah's story, the idea of a man being called to build an ark fill it with animals and plants because the gods were flooding the world. There's even a scene where the Sumerian version of Noah sends out a dove or a raven to see if there is dry land. The myth is also mentioned in the Epic of Gilgamesh"Life is the only RPG you'll ever play, The religious want to be one with the moderator, the scientists want to hack the game, and the gamers want to do both."

it's not your idea. You're trying to rationalize a false version of a creation myth; a version that appears to have been created by a Zecharia Sitchin in 1976.
All real sources and translations of the Atrahasis by reputable people do not have this whole ape-men hybrids nonsense."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Here's the Atrahasis in English:
As you can see, nothing about ape-men.
Berzerker's characterization of mixing the blood of the Igigi with a roaming creature (this fiction isn't even consistent! Some crazy people say the Igigi were ape-men, Berzerker is saying it was the people the Igigi were mixed with) does not exist. The slaughtered representative of the Igigi's blood was mixed with CLAY to make men.
They slaughtered Aw-ilu, who had the inspiration, in their assembly.
[225] Nintu mixed clay with his flesh and blood."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

thanks for the info. The idea of man being made with clay I see is there too. Blood-clay, which is related to the meaning of adam in Hebrew. Makes sense that the Hebrews should borrow from Sumerian/Mesopotamian Myths, as Abraham was supposedly from the city of Ur, which was a city in ancient Mesopotamia/Sumer. Their writing was in cuniform if I remember correctly, and they had the chariot, ziggurats, the tower of Babel probably was more a temple of Enki in Babel (Babylon). They also had the base 60 if I recall, which we use today in our seconds, minutes, hours and they had the idea of the 360 degree circle. Sorry if this is all useless and already known information."Life is the only RPG you'll ever play, The religious want to be one with the moderator, the scientists want to hack the game, and the gamers want to do both."

There's some really stupid people out there who love to spread mis-information about historical facts on the internet to support retarded views about reptilians and ancient astronauts. The fact that searching for Sumerian creation myths on the internet leads almost entirely to such fictions is disgusting.
I hope Berzerker who first mentioned this nonsense notices that it was all made up by Stichin in 1976."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
