  • Rice farming

Hi all. I'm thinking of engineering an army of clones, buying a nice plot of land, and having the clones farm rice in paddy fields for me. Problem is, I don't know the first thing about paddy fields. Can anyone give me a general summary of the resources required, the techniques the clones would have to learn, and any possible risks and dangers the workers might face? Thanks.

Oh, and I don't need any help with the cloning technology; I've got that covered. Also I don't want to hear that there are better things I could do with an army of clones. Trust me, this is for the best.

Thanks! Excellent description of how one is built. But I'm really more interested in knowing what my clones will be doing on a day to day basis once the paddy fields have been constructed.

Seeker has a farm in Cambodia, not rice, but perhaps he could help you.

You might want to check out local laws to see if they cover clone slavery.

Good thought, but the government needs these clones, so they're looking the other way.

here the rice fields need LOTS and LOTS of water which is in short supply right now.

I had a guided tour of rice paddies in Spain a few days ago, if that helps.

Not really. Apart from the fact that the Ebro delta is the largest rice farming region in Europe. I didn't know that.

you're indirectly paying for the spanish welfare system. just like the NL and Germany.

hey, please stop being a part of the EU to ameliorate that situation. the rest of Europe is tired of all your complaining. we're sure that the US will be more than happy to accommodate all your idiosyncratic desires

I was talking about Mobius's jolly.

WTF? You have an army of disposable clones and you're not plotting to take over the world?

Give me your clones and I'll show you what should be done with them.
