Whoops, you should probably use this version:
Download Media Player Classic Home Cinema: MPC-HC for free. An extremely light-weight, open source media player for Windows®. Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC) is an extremely light-weight, open source media player for Windows®. Media Player Classic Home Cinema supports all common video and audio file formats available for playback.

The first one doesn't appear to be in english :0

You likely need a codec. Just download one.

VLC is the **** for everything. The only thing it lacks is the ability to display subtitles in the black ribbon below the movie for those movies with a wider aspect ratio than my screen.

BSplayer (used to be great, then started to bundle spyware, clean again now) is decent also. It even can automatically get subs.

Yeah, I've been using VLC for several years now. It really is the best media player out there plus it's free.
