Don't ask me. You're the one who brought it up in the first place.

The only thing that I'm having trouble with is just how stupid you are. Perhaps you can explain how not quite as much overrepresentation equals underrepresentation.
Wow, none of that is what I said. Can you read? The civilian labor force is a poorer definition because it doesn't compare jobs within similar categories and regions. The very article that you posted and failed to read got that distinction and made it clear:

Blacks, who make up 12.8 percent of the U.S. population, represent 11.3 percent of NASA's employees. They make up 17.9 percent of the federal work force. At KSC, blacks make up 7.6 percent of the work force, compared with 10 percent of Brevard County's population.
Yet, somehow you only got overrepresentation from the article and touted it around like a holy doctrine.

        • In response to a question about black employment in government funded aerospace, yes that is true. You are the one challenging that however.

So my original assertion that blacks will be hurt disproportionately by spending cuts is false? What the hell are you even trying to argue?

              • while ignoring the contrary position they have on the main thread-jack (Israel).

I don't have a position on Israel/Palestine. It's a complete cluster**** and anyone who wants to argue in favor of one side or the other is just wasting their time.

How far back are you going to pedal?

                  • I'm holding to 11.3 being > 10.0 in the context of who is disproportionately hurt.

                    • All that talk about why money goes to Israel is so cute... its like Americans think they could vote it otherwise.

As to why Blacks vote democrat 90% of the time, its a ridiculous question. It would be against their economic interest to do otherwise. They don't care about Republicans being 'racist' on immigration (ridiculous proposition considering Bush and Regan's amnesty), because they don't like Mexican immigration to much either! In case you haven't notice only the entitlements keep Black's voting Republican, the Black middle class simply can't exist without affirmative action (also I think its laughable to think Republicans as they are today would do away with that).

Republicans could capture the Black vote if they restricted themselves to being bigots about gay's and remained anti-abortion while throwing as much money at Blacks as possible. But then they would loose some of their White and Asian voters.

Uhh, yeah? The reason both major parties are pro-Israel is because most Americans are.

Are you claiming that entitlements are in the economic interest of ~90% of blacks? I'm actually not sure what you're trying to say.

                        • Also to everyone who is trolling about Israel basically being an apartheid state, I can't believe no one has brought up Bantustans (South Africa's two state solution) yet.

Besides the nincompoops who literally think that because there is a state defined as as a Jewish state in the Holy Land that Jesus is coming back I don't think most Americans care enough to change their party affiliation on this. The primary reason both parties endorse it is because Jews are like any healthy ethnicity mostly ethnocentric and have a strong sentimental attachment to Israel (this goes for older generations and the ultra religious mostly, but they are the majority of Jews in the US anyway), they will vote on it, but far more important they are willing to write cheques on that. And Jews are a pretty large (only recently have Muslims taken second place as a religious group behind Christianity) and very wealthy demographic in the US. Also due to their wealth of extremely talented people they are also due to their extraordinary competence vastly overrepresented in most elite institutions (cultural, financial, goverment a bit less, except as advisors).

No, but 90% of Blacks care enough about Blacks as a group to vote on that basis.

Dude, 63% of Americans support Israel while 17% support Palestine. There's no reason to assume that 2% of the population must be directing foreign policy.

No, but 90% of Blacks care enough about Blacks as a group to vote on that basis.
And you base this knowledge on....? Are you simply claiming to know how 90% of black people in a country you don't even live in decide how to vote or can you provide some sort of source that backs up your claims?
